Butter Has
Been Adopted!
Butter is going to make her new home with Tammie and
Dave. Butter knows a lot of commands, like roll over, etc. the
problem was her original owner taught her the commands in Korean.
Butter is going to have a lot of people to give her tummy rubs (which she
loves). The also have another part basset, which Tammie describes as
having a classic basset body and something else for a wonderful head.
But is going to lap up all the attention.
-----------------------
We are looking for a home for Butter the Bassett. She has classic markings and a very
gentle, loving disposition. She appears to be pure bred but has no papers. She is approximately 4 years old and she Is
spayed. Like most Bassett Hounds, Butter likes human companionship and attention.
Because she was, previously, an "only child", she wants a great deal of human contact. Butter will follow her person from room to room and
sit at a near distance, quietly -- tilting her head from one side to the other
observing whatever the activity. Butter Is also very, very good with small
children and will immediately roll over at their feet so they can pet her.
Actually, since having her tummy rubbed is her favorite thing, she will do this for everyone !
Butter's owners moved to Boston and could nor take her. Prior to that she was mostly a "yard dog" and
enjoyed very much being in a fenced area. Butter, is younger, has more energy and more interest
in being outside than our other dogs, which were raised together to be "house dogs". We feel she should be with someone who needs her companionship and will make her companionship a significant part of their lives each day. (Perhaps someone who stays home most days with a small child or someone who is retired and lives alone.)
