Butch  Basset Hound

Ralph and Christine were interested in Butch when he had all his hardware on.  In fact they donated money towards his surgery - plus Ralph's company, Microsoft, matched Ralph's donation.  Butch's surgery dropped his elbow back into the joint, and straightened his leg about 50%.  The tendons in his wrist were very badly stretched prior to surgery and unfortunately even with the elbow being corrected he is still not using his foot, except occasionally.  Ralph and Christian still love him and he and his new brother Arthur are playing like crazy.

Butch had his surgery. When Dr Howard cut the bones, luckily Butch's shoulder bone slipped right back into the elbow joint. Now we are just waiting for the bones to knit. The tendons in his wrist were stretched, but Dr. Howard is hopeful he is young and without the pressure on them they will also heal. Donations for the surgery can be made securely with your  Credit Card by clicking the image below.

Butch is a cute 14 month old. As you can see Butch needs surgery on his right front leg. He is schedule for that surgery Aug 26. Donations to help with the surgery would be every so greatly appreciated. He will have about a 8 week recovery period after surgery and then will be available for adoption. Butch is having a great time playing with the other bassets here and is a fun happy boy. He would really enjoy being with a family with a 4 legged friend for him to romp and stomp with.
