Trooper's good looks rated a call from Montana about him. We arranged a meeting, and it was love at first sight. They have a couple other bassets and talking with them, Trooper (now Buddy) joined the pack like he had always been there - no adjustment period, just happily joined in romping, playing and eager for loves. As you can see from the pictures, Trooper was in love at first sight also. I had to laugh as they drove off, Trooper was sitting on a bench area, they had build up in the car between the front seat, knowing he was off to his forever home. Trooper was a stray, whose owner never came to claim him for over 2 weeks, so he came into rescue. The shelter says that he is 3 years old. Trooper is house trained, knows his sits, gets along wonderfully with the other basset, and is totally charming. I cannot figure out how anyone could have given him up - he is wonderful.
Trooper went out on a home visit, but Trooper is not a cat lover. His
possible family was very enchanted with him and tried very hard to with
all kinds of introductions to made it work, but Trooper only liked to
chase the cats and play very rough with them
