Adopted!
Sweet shy Dottie now Lottie is slowly coming around. Like some
of the other shy Puppy Mill Breeders, she is taking much time and
patience, even though
enjoying a warm home and good food, to trust people. Thank you Deb and
Sam for working with sweet Lottie.
Dottie had a dental and her spay. This sweet girl was one of our very
shy former breeders and we were concerned she might be here awhile. Most
of the other Bassets would approach visitor after visitor with tails
wagging to say "please pick me!" while she would walk the outer
perimeter of the yard against the fence. Last Sat a wonderful couple
stopped by to see the dogs and possibly adopt one. I asked the wife (a
Hospice worker) to sit in one of the big lawn chairs, then picked up
Dottie and placed in her lap. At first Dottie kept trying to escape, but
this neat lady was patient and just kept gently talking to her and
petting. After several minutes, Dottie's entire body completely relaxed,
melted against her and the personality change was amazing! Venee smiled
and said, "this is our girl." By the end of that hour, Dottie was
following Venee around everywhere she went and would sit, make eye
contact and stay waiting as she approached without running away, we LOVE
watching this happen! Dottie is now living in her permanent home and
doing great - hooray!
Dottie Allie is a female about 5 years old (born

Because we do not have any "real" history on the
basset rescues we DO NOT
place with families with children under 6 years of age. This is for your
child's protection.
If you do not live in the Spokane area, transportation IS at your
expense.
Adoption fee ($125) barely covers S/N, immunizations, and microchip.
Senior
bassets cost is reduced.
