I'm glad to say we are entirely in love 
with Charlie - now Fred. We had to change his name to avoid confusion, because our son's dog is Charlie and they visit on a daily basis. Turtle, our female, loved Fred right away - They romp and play and sleep cozily by the wood stove. Fred is loving walking in the woods/fields with us. He's learning how to bound over logs and snake 
through the brush behind Turtle. I don't think he had ever seen a cat before ours, but already he has learned not to bark at her. He learns anything really fast and is so good natured - not a mean bone in his body. We feel totally lucky to have this special dog and he seems really happy to be with us.

Sweet Charlie is 10 months old. He is very sweet, is having a great time playing with the other bassets here. He came in not house trained, in two days of taking him out, he is now using the doggy door, and has not had an accident. He totally enjoys loves and attention. He is smart, and ready for a loving family that has time for him.

You must have a securely fenced yard.

Because we do not have any "real" history on the basset rescues we DO NOT place with families with children under 6 years of age. This is for your child's protection.

If you do not live in the Spokane area, transportation is at your expense.

Adoption fee ($125), which barely covers S/N, immunizations and micro chips.

 This pet is up to date with routine shots.

This pet is already house trained.
