ADOPTED! Well, it's been just over two weeks. Chloe (now called Penelope, or Penny, or Henny Penny) and Weaver (now called Bosley, or Boz, or The Boz man) are fitting so well into our family! They are both learning to stay out of the kitchen when we're cooking (Bosley will pick fights when there's food involved). They're learning NO, Sit, Lay down, Back, and Off really quickly! I think Boz already knew most of that. They love using their doggy door, and carrying our underwear out to throw around in the dirt! Ha! We are trying to train ourselves not to leave dirty clothes on the floor anymore! We have had four accidents, all by Penny, and all within her first week of living here (pre-doggy door). We think those days are basically over, since the addition of the doggy door. They are also loving their daily walks to our neighborhood park, meeting little kids and getting so much attention. Chloe is a darling petite one year old. She is having a great time playing with the other young bassets here. She is house trained and uses the doggy door. She was quite thin when she came in, but is putting on some weight, even with all the busy play. The owners releasing her said she was shy with people at first, but I haven't seen that.
