Dixie Basset Hound

Bruce came down from BC, they were interested in 2 bassets. Bruce spent an afternoon loving on, petting, and observing all the different personalities.  Lady was one of the Puppy Mill breeders, I think he saw what a lover she was, but also her need to be able to trust someone, but her fears.  Grace was just an all round sweet, laid back basset cutie, who planted herself by his hip.  Tiny Dixie love attention, she can sneak her way onto your lap and somehow gets one of your hands petting her.   Bruce send the most wonderful updates.  The girls are all doing fine.  Even sweet Lady is learning to trust Bruce and follows him around, they are learning to adjust to her silly fears.

Dixie came into rescue on a transport from Boise. That evening this sweet little girl had 9 puppies! She went into foster to raise her puppies.
Dixie's previous owners did not have a fence - none of Dixie's pups even
looked basset! Her pups are weaned and adopted. Now Dixie has been spayed and is looking for a forever home with a fenced yard. Dixie is very little girl, very petite, and super loving.

Because we do not have any "real" history on the basset rescues we DO NOT place with families with children under 6 years of age. This is for your
child's protection.

If you do not live in the Spokane area, transportation IS at your expense.

Adoption fee ($125) barely covers S/N, immunizations, and microchip. Senior bassets cost is reduced.
