Tracey and her daughter Jean came over to visit the basset a few times. They helped scoop and observed all the bassets. Sam was so shy he would not even come near. They wonderfully decided to foster and work with socializing him. They immediately changed him name to Walter. Tracey walked him every day (which he totally loved). Tracey and Jay walked him every evening. They did not think he would ever move freely off the beautiful bed Tracy made for him. It took about 3 months, before it clicked for him - this family was special and he could trust them. You can see in him eyes that he loves Tracey and all she has done to gain his trust. They came to the Basset Blast, it warmed everyone who had been around the Shy Sam to see Walter reaching out to not only the bassets there, but to people. Tracey and family are twinkling gold stars.
