When Tammy (now Tulu) came in, I knew this little sweetie would need someone special to bring out the gentle loving puppy in her. Tammy came from a hoarder situation, where human contact was probably non existent. Paula is an awesome nurturing basset mommy, just who Tammy needed. Paula has been sending wonderful, funny blossoming updates on Tulu. You could see this little girl just wanted to be loved, but fearful of coming for love. When you picked her up for a cuddle, she would be nervous for a minutes before she settled in for a loving. Here is Paula's update: "Tu is doing great. She is now getting into my bed on her own. She likes to sleep against my back. I have had several people from the realtor to the photographer thru the house. They just walk up to her and she seems to be getting used to be being petted. That is not to say she does not cow down but that is getting sooo much better, too. While she is in the house with me, her tail wags all the time but on our walks the tail is about half way down. In the beginning, it was way under her back legs. Baby steps!" Someone bigger than me, has a wonderful hand in getting these sweet rescues where they can flourish and become the puppies they were meant to be. Yea for Paula and Tulu! For More Information: |
