In Memory of sadie The Basset Hound

Just a sad note to let you know I had to put my girl Sadie to sleep.  She
had an extended bout of acute pancreatitis complicated by lymphoma.  The
last 3 weeks she survived on SubQ fluids and pain and nausea medication,
until I conceeded that she wasn't going to recover and had suffered enough.
I had lost my girl Maggie just a few months prior to this to lymphoma
also...has been a tough year on my dog loving heart.  Anyway, I thought you
should know.  She was pretty sick at the end, but did have a couple of years
in a loving home, spent most evenings curled up in my recliner with me,
loved the frequent road trips to my dad's (and his dogs') home in Eugene,
really loved riding in my kayak and getting so close to the ducks.  She died
in my lap with me thanking her for coming to be my friend.

Thank you for being the way Sadie came to me.  I'm not sure if I want to
replace my girls or not, need to give myself some time to grieve and heal.
But I will keep an eye on the dogs you have available.
